Privacy

What we collect

• Your name, email and phone number, to run your account and send booking messages.
• Your driver’s license (renters) or business documents (agencies), to verify identity and eligibility.
• Booking details and the condition photos recorded at pick-up and return.

Payments

Card and mobile-money details are entered on Chapa’s checkout and never reach RentDrive. We keep only the payment reference, amount and status.

Who sees what

• Agencies see a renter’s name, and their phone number once a booking is confirmed.
• Renters see an agency’s phone number once their booking is confirmed.
• Identity documents are visible only to RentDrive staff, and every view is logged.
• Reviews show only the reviewer’s first name.

Security

There are no passwords to leak: signing in always requires a one-time code sent to your phone. Documents are encrypted at rest, and all traffic is encrypted in transit.
